Chris Hollister is founder and CEO of Hollister & Company, an investment and business consulting firm with a focus on technology and health care with offices in Dallas, Texas and Auckland, New Zealand.
                                     
Chris has been an innovative leader and entrepreneur in the senior housing field for more than 20 years.  Most recently, Chris co-founded Southern Assisted Living, Inc. in 1995 and served as CEO from inception until April, 2006.  In 2003, Chris led a management buy-out of the private equity investors in the company.  In April, 2006, the owner-managers sold Southern Assisted to Brookdale Senior Living, a  publicly traded senior housing company based in Chicago. 

At the time of the sale to Brookdale, Southern Assisted was the 11th largest assisted living provider in the nation with more than 3,000 residents in 46 communities located in the Carolinas and Virginia.  The company enjoyed an excellent reputation distinguished for excellent customer service, innovative programming, and a creative and vibrant culture.

Chris is a Fellow in Executive Education at the Erickson School of Aging Studies at the University of Maryland Baltimore County where he teaches the Senior Housing Operations course held in the Spring of each year.  Chris also served on the board of the Assisted Living Federation of America (“ALFA”) from 2000 to 2004 (serving as Treasurer from April, 2002 to April, 2004.  Chris earned an M.B.A. degree from Duke University (1985) and an undergraduate degree in Economics from Texas A&M University (1983).

After a 15 year career in accounting and financial management, Philip joined Chris as Vice President of Hollister & Company in early 2006.  After leading several successful investments for Hollister & Company, Philip began due diligence n the rapidly growing internet trading post sector which led Hollister & Company to acquire the master franchise rights for Auction It Today for the state of Texas.  In September, 2006 Philip became President and CEO of Auction It Today Texas.
