Rick D. Rolph  Area Owner and Developer

Mr. Rolph built a distinguished 30 year career holding executive positions in sales, marketing, operations and consulting and was a founding partner of Center Partners, Inc. a $120 mm a year customer care outsourcing business.

After serving in the United Sates Marine Corps and then graduating from the University of Northern Iowa in 1973 Rick joined IBM as a Sales Representative. Promotions and career advancements led to various staff and line management positions. As a sales and marketing executive in the IBM Company, Mr. Rolph was responsible for the success of sales and marketing operations in IBM’s Telecommunications Division for the Rocky Mountain Region. He also sat on various corporate committees on performance planning, customer care and client relationship management.

In 1995 Rick joined Arthur Andersen’s Business Consulting Group and led the company’s regional Telecommunications and Entertainment Industry consulting practice. During his tenure he specialized in business planning and process improvement working with young start-up companies as well as Fortune 500 businesses. While engaged in a new business plan review, Rick met his future partners in what was to become Center Partners, Inc.

Rick was one of the five founding partners of Center Partners, Inc., which began business in 1997. Center Partners grew to $120 mm in annual revenues in just five short years making it one of the industries fastest growing companies.  As Senior Vice President he led the company’s sales and marketing organization and served on the Board of Directors and the Executive Management Committee.

Under the leadership of the founding partners, Center Partners received Ernst and Young’s 2002 Entrepreneur of the Year award for the Rocky Mountain Region and went on to receive 2nd place honors in national recognition. In 1999 Center Partners entered into an asset purchase agreement for the sale of the company to WPP the world’s largest advertising, marketing and research company headquartered in the United Kingdom.

Saying goodbye to the corporate world in 2003, Rick and his wife Pam retired to their Double R Ranch outside of Castle Rock, Colorado and began living their dream of raising and showing performance Quarter Horses.

Rick’s passion for business and his entrepreneurial spirit brought him out of retirement in 2006 to “tackle one more business venture”. Many months of planning and research led him in the direction of the power and potential of the Internet and ultimately to John and Scott Hoose of Auction it TODAY.
